Pasadena California Vagabond Inn Caltech Burbank Airport?
We are staying in the vagabond Inn, 9 miles north of Caltech. The Burbank airport is where we are flying in from. I was wondering what the cheapest form of transport is that will get us to and from the vagabond inn, going to caltech, and the burbank airport.
The cheapest form of transport is the MTA buses, but it’ll take about an hour and a half to get from Burbank to the VI. http://www.metro.net/default.asp (use the trip planner for more details). The VI is actually 1.5 miles away from CalTech so if the weather’s good you can walk there. It’s a nice stroll, actually, quite pleasant.
I hope that helps somewhat. The people I know who go to the Burbank airport either drive themselves or use a shuttle service like Supershuttle, but that’s $22 a person. It may be pricier but it will be a lot more convenient and less timely than taking public transportation.
