Just how far from the city airport is far enough to place my future house? in order to avoid loud noise.?
I plan to build a house on a field quite close to a future airport (5 km), and the field is oriented on the future flying path. I’m worried that the noise would be too loud when the airport will be functional. Can you say how far away is far enough in order to not be bothered by this? The airport will be quite big (it will serve a 300.000 inhabitants city). Thank you.
I would not build anywhere near it. Flight paths change. Where I used to live, the airport helped homeowners within 5 miles install noise suppression systems.
